Mumbai | July 2026 – A grand Kargil Vijay Diwas 2026 Commemoration Event was held in Mumbai to commemorate the 27th anniversary of India’s historic victory in the Kargil War and to pay heartfelt tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment of the brave soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces. The event served as a solemn reminder of the supreme sacrifices made by the nation’s heroes in safeguarding India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The event was graced by Brigadier Sudhir Sawant (Retd.), former Member of Parliament, former Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council (MLC), and retired Brigadier of the Indian Army. Addressing the gathering, Brigadier Sawant highlighted the enduring significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and emphasized that the sacrifices of the soldiers who fought in the Kargil War continue to inspire generations of Indians.
